location
Le Mas G’Ardéchois is located in the south of France, between the Cévennes mountains and the Mediterranean, in Southern Ardèche, in the heart of the Pays des Vans, close to the Gard and Lozère departments.
How to get there!
They say all roads lead to Rome… fortunately, quite a few of them also lead to Saint-Paul-le-Jeune—and every single one is scenic.
Getting to Mas g’Ardéchois is easy. From the A7 motorway, simply follow the signs towards Ardèche, enjoy the scenery, and eventually you’ll arrive. If your GPS starts arguing with you, don’t worry—it happens to everyone.

By car
From Marseille, via Nîmes
Take the motorway towards Nîmes, then follow the signs for Alès and Aubenas. Somewhere between the two you’ll find Saint-Paul-le-Jeune.
One small piece of advice: if you see signs pointing towards Spain, resist the temptation… unless you’ve accidentally packed your swimsuit for Barcelona instead!
On a motorcycle
From Avignon
Ride through Châteauneuf-du-Pape, then Caderousse, Bagnols-sur-Cèze, Barjac and finally Saint-Paul-le-Jeune.
Twisting roads, beautiful scenery and plenty of excuses to stop for coffee… what more could a motorcyclist ask for?

By Bicycle
If you’re feeling ambitious, you could always follow part of the famous Ardéchoise cycling route, one of France’s largest and most celebrated cycling events.
Admittedly, it’s a bit of a detour…
A much easier option is to stay at Mas g’Ardéchois and cheer on the cyclists as they pass through Saint-Paul-le-Jeune during the event each year.

Through the Monts d’Ardèche
On foot

Walk through forests, cross mountain trails, explore caves and enjoy some of the most beautiful landscapes in southern France.
Just keep an eye out for the Beast of Gévaudan. It terrified this region centuries ago… and who knows? Perhaps it left a few descendants behind…
